Health and Science Building

The Lower Columbia College Health & Science Building will be a 70,000 SF, 3 level cast in place concrete building with a composite concrete/steel deck mechanical penthouse. The exterior will consist of brick veneer and glass curtain wall. Sustainability is a key goal built in to this project with LEED Silver Certification targeted. Some of the “green” features include solar panels on the roof, building integrated solar panels built into the solar shades, real time energy production monitoring, bio-swales in the parking lot and surrounding the building’s exterior, low flow fixtures, high efficiency appliances and HVAC equipment, a partial greenroof and plenty of greenscaping.

The HSB will be the centerpiece for the expansion of Lower Columbia College’s nursing and science programs.
